Art Gallery Looking To Sell Kanye West's "Famous" Figures For $4 Million

Want to put the bed (and all that lies within) from Kanye's "Famous" video in your own room? That'll be $4 million. Kanye West's "Famous" video stands as one of the most memorable videos of the year for obvious reasons, as it shows off 12 naked wax figures in a bed together, each one bearing a stunning likeness to a well-known celebrity figure. The bed includes Taylor Swift, Donald Trump, George W. Bush, Ray J, Chris Brown, both Kim and Kanye, and more. The incredibly lifelike figures even appear to be breathing as they sleep. Last week, the massive bed, with each figure still lying in the same spot, was showcased in a private exhibition at the Blum & Poe gallery in LA. Now the gallery is hoping to sell the entire piece as one, reports The New York Times. The price? About $4 million. It hasn't been confirmed that Kanye is willing to let go of his beloved celebrity bedfellows, though the $4 million total is a reasonable early estimate of a selling price, according to Blum & Poe co-founder Tim Blum. The figure is a sum of the value of "the materials needed, labor, and Mr. West's name," says the NYT. LA-based artist Aaron Axelrod claims that he has figured out that it cost between $500,000 and $1 million just to construct the whole "Famous" spread. "This kind of caught me off guard," he said. "It's one of the coolest pieces I've ever seen, which is kind of annoying because it's Kanye West."

Ray J might be taking up Kanye's dare to sue him. It appears Kanye’s “wish” to be sued over the controversial “Famous” video may actually come true. According to reports & the latest edition of Heat Magazine, Ray J & his manager, David Weintraub, are considering taking legal action against the G.O.O.D. Music CEO for his naked inclusion in the latest video off The Life Of Pablo. "We’re talking about potentially doing something," Weintraub told Heat. "There’s too many times Kanye has done this. You can’t really continue to use people’s likenesses without either compensation or clearance. It seems to be becoming an issue—this is like the fourth time in six months he’s done this. We haven’t really worked anything out. There were kind of discussions but it’s getting old, so our legal team is working out what we want to do with everything." There Could Be A Version Of Kanye West's "Wolves" With Drake & Björk

There's yet another potential version of "Wolves" out there. If this one exists, it will certainly warrant a listen. The mystery of "Wolves" continues. Kanye first unveiled a version of the song during an iconic performance on SNL 40 in February of last year. The song featured Vic Mensa and Sia, who both joined him on stage. An official version of "Wolves" wouldn't be heard until a year later, when, on February 11, he played his new album, The Life of Pablo, to a sold-out crowd at MSG. The version of "Wolves" he played then, the one that would remain on the album upon its release a few days later, featured vocals by Frank Ocean and classical singer Caroline Shaw, and none from Mensa or Sia. On February 14, the day of the album's release, Kanye seemed overwhelmingly confident about the near-perfection of The Life of Pablo, though he sent out one tweet implying he wasn't totally satisfied with a particular song: "Ima fix wolves." A few days later, a relatively high quality recording of the original "Wolves" -- with Mensa and Sia -- surfaced online. Today, there has arisen the possibility of one more version of the song, which, for the most part, has been lauded in both of its current capacities. The rumors of the latest version, though -- well, let's just say: if true, it sounds like the most exciting "Wolves" yet. Or, at least it's the most star-studded. Complex was digging into the KTT forum tonight and noticed that someone had screen-shotted a Snapchat from Cashmere Cat, one of the producers of "Wolves," that showed he was listening to a recording of "Wolves" that featured Drake and Björk. As of now, all we have are the screenshots showing the track's collaborators (see above), and no recordings of any music. Drake was credited on two tracks on The Life of Pablo, though they haven't rapped (or sang) on a record together since the non-album version of Big Sean's "Blessings." Shortly after the SNL "Wolves" premiere, Kanye West revealed he and Drake had discussed doing a joint album using the title, so the case for an official version with Drake is convincing. As for Björk, who would've thought the legendary singer, actress, video artist, and all around leader of the avant-garde would appear on a Kanye West song? Well, the man who revealed the potential collab, Cashmere Cat, hails from Norway, the Scandinavian neighbor to Björk's native Iceland, so it does make some sense. It looks like Kanye West is already planning a tour in support of "The Life of Pablo." Kanye has one official performance already scheduled this summer, as he'll headline the Governors Ball Music Festival on June 5 in NYC, so perhaps his new tour will be situated around that time. He also recently announced his plans to drop another album this summer, so it looks like his schedule will be totally swamped, though that's nothing new for Pablo. Caught by TMZ, Kanye was being bombarded by the paparazzi, when two photographers ended turning on each other and starting throwing some blows. But rather than walking faster in the opposite direction, Kanye stepped in and broke the two guys up by giving one of them a hug in effort to calm everyone down. In a good mood, Kanye later answered some questions from the paps as well. When asked if he’ll have a third child, Ye replied “perhaps” with a smile on his face. Then he was asked about Mark Zuckerberg, before commotion set in and it's a little tough to hear.

Upset with the level of illegal downloads, Kanye West's camp considers legal action. Kanye West’s buzzing new album The Life of Pablo is only available on the streaming service Tidal, which has driven many people to illegally download the album rather than sign up for the subscription-only streaming service. As a result, the album has gone Gold in illegal downloads solely from popular torrent site the Pirate Bay. It netted more than 500,000 downloads in less than a week, which is potentially an internet record. Despite previously being flippant towards people to illegally listen to his music, Kanye West is reportedly not pleased with the current situation. He’s considering a lawsuit against the Pirate Bay, and that’s understandable given how much money in streams and album sales 500,000 downloads would equate to. TorrentFreak reached out to the Pirate Bay for comment. Their response was not exactly fearful. “Kanye West is a blithering twat who has an incredible sense of self importance,” Pirate Bay staff member Spud17 wrote, before adding, “Our legal team will be waiting.” The Pirate Bay are no strangers to legal action, as their site been kicked out of numerous countries for it’s illegal activity. Next to governments, a Yeezy lawsuit isn’t much to sniff at. While it sucks that Kanye has lost out on so much money, he’s partially to blame for the situation after altering his album distribution plans right as the album released. He refused to add the album to any Apple music services, leaving few ways for people to obtain the record.

He went as far as to say, "1000% there will never be a Kylie Puma anything. That's on my family! 1000% Kylie is on Yeezy team!!!" Well, it now seems as though Yeezy was misguided in his calculations, as PUMA has officially confirmed its partnership with the youngest Jenner sister. "I am pleased and excited to be able to confirm that PUMA is indeed working with Kylie Jenner," said Adam Petrick, PUMA's Global Director of Brand and Marketing, in an official statement, reports Complex. "Kylie will be featured in the brand's Spring/Summer women's training campaign launching in April 2016," continued Petrick. "Kylie represents a fresh and exciting new era for fashion, and we couldn't think of a more fitting and influential female to headline this campaign for PUMA." Earlier today, a TMZ reporter caught up with Kanye at LAX, and by then, he was already aware of his ill-fated PUMA tweets. When asked if Kylie had gone behind his back to sneak a deal with PUMA, a rival of adidas, Kanye replied, "She had already signed, and I was mad for a bit." Thus, it seems the deal was already in place when Kanye had sent out the tweets claiming Kylie for team Yeezy, and it's probably wasn't a pretty sight when Kanye found out about the deal.
