Jay Rock Severely Injured In "Bad" Motocycle Accident

Jay Rock was reportedly involved in a bad motorcycle accident on Monday. While Kendrick Lamar was busy tearing the stage down at the 58th annual Grammy’s Monday night, his fellow TDE counterpart, Jay Rock, was unfortunately involved in a “bad accident” on his motorcycle. Taking to twitter Monday night, TDE president Top Dawg tweeted out, "Pray 4 @jayrock he had a bad accident on his motorcycle.. He's hurt pretty bad...” While no other information has been released at the moment, we’ll definitely keep you posted as more on this surfaces. Prayers up for Jay Rock.

Jay Rock Sets Release Date For "90059"

Jay Rock's second studio album, "90059," has an official release date. Jay Rock has finally given his upcoming album, 90059, an official release date. We had a feeling the date was just around the corner, and Rock just confirmed that 90059 will be out next Friday, on September 11.

At first, the iTunes release date for 90059 had been painfully set for May 2016, though TDE CEO Anthony Tiffith said that the release date would continue to move closer in correlation with the album's pre-order numbers. Tiffith announced the promotional strategy two weeks ago, and the final date of September 11 should signal that Rock's second studio album has garnered significant interest from fans ahead of its release. Rock recently dropped one of the album's all-TDE collabs, "Easy Bake," featuring Kendrick Lamar and SZA. Will Jay Rock's "90059" hit iTunes at Midnight? According to producer Cardo, yes. Well, then. As many of you know, Jay Rock's album release strategy is relying on a certain number of pre-orders. Once he hits that magic number, the TDE rapper says he'll be dropping his highly anticipated album, 90059, his first one in a minute. There was a rumor the other week (via Best Buy) that 90059 would drop digitally on September 4th, with physical copies hitting stores on September 11th. However during Jay's New York press run, he shut those rumors down. It's looking like they might turn out to be correct, though. In a since-delete Instagram post, producer Cardo touted that Jay Rock's album was dropping tomorrow. Jay Rock even responded in the comments.
