Beyoncé Reportedly Hires New Management Team
Beyoncé hopes new management team will lead to "smarter decisions" with regard to "touring, sponsorships, and acting roles."
Beyoncé has "cleaned house," firing much of her old management team in lieu of a brand new one, reports PageSix.
The celebrity news website confirms Bey has parted with her manager of five years, Anne Callahan-Longo, and has hired Steve Pamon, who worked as JPMorgan Chase's head of sports and marketing, to work for her own company, Parkwood Entertainment. Pamon was also the organizer of Beyoncé's joint "On the Run" tour with Jay Z, which took place in summer 2014.
"Beyoncé basically cleaned house, got rid of her whole team, which included her cousin, and hired a new team. She wants to surround herself with business people who could take her career to an even higher level," said an insider source.
The source also noted that Beyoncé has one remaining album to record as part of her contract with Columbia Records and that "she wants to make smarter decisions where it comes to touring, sponsorships, and acting roles."
Though the news doesn't lead to much speculation in terms of new music, it certainly implies that Beyoncé won't be relinquishing any of the spotlight in the near future.
